Here is the picture of Auckland ARA 2x of the 0305 buses, including the doubly unlucky ARA fleet 1313 and 1375 were destroyed by a fire at New Zealand Motor Bodies Takanini plant while being repaired so only 298 were delivered under the contract 1977 a fire swept through the workshop at the Auckland premises of New Zealand Motor Bodies, Sylvia Park. The conflagration consumed Mercedes 0305 number 1313, which was three years old, and 1375 which was nearly a year old. Both were at NZMB undergoing repairs at the time. Also damaged was a Bedford SB belonging to the Howick Bus Company. That bus, HBC number 16 was written off too.
